Saturday, May 31st

 

We left CV at 4:00am. Took a half hour break for breakfast and arrived by 9:30ish. Driving down was not bad at all. It was easier and not as boring as I thought it would be. I think driving to SLO was worse.Parking at DL took forever because it was a Saturday.

 Waiting in line at City Hall in DL was about 15 min or so. We got Nick a DAS pass. Without this pass we would not have lasted more than 1 ride and I would have gone home. Nick thinks going to Disneyland is shopping at the gift shops and maybe fitting in a ride or two. He only wants to buy buy buy. I am getting so frustrated with it. That is my biggest problem. Even while on rides, he is thinking about shopping. I wish I could just make all the stores disappear.

Sunday, June 1st

Character Breakfast at PCH Grill at The Paradise Pier Hotel- This breakfast was great. It was practically empty that early in the morning so we had Minnie, Mickey, Daisy, Pluto and Stitch almost all to ourselves. It is an all you can eat buffet. They also brought out a Birthday cupcake to Nick and sang to him. He loved dancing with the characters.

Took the monorail into Disneyland from Downtown Disney. We got to ride in the front with the driver.

Took horse carriage from Tomorrow Land to Main Street to sign up for the Welcome to Disneyland Tour.

Took the fire engine ride back to the castle area for pictures and to ride Astro Blasters and Autopia before the tour but we had a few bumps in the road and were not able to do it.

Nick then lost his Birthday ears/hat and we were trying to find it. We will check lost and found again in the AM

Went to meet our tour group.

Saw Muppet Vision 3D- I am not really a Muppets fan so was not thinking I would like this at all but I was amazed at how they did this show. The 3D was the most amazing 3D I have ever seen. They had so many special effects that were amazing.

Went on Screamin which is Nick's first upside down roller coaster and he LOVED it

Went on Soarin over CA which Nick also LOVED

Aladdin Musical- The genie was soooo funny.

Tower of Terror- I wanted the picture from this ride but someone on it did something inappropriate so they would not put it on our photo pass and deleted it :(

We had to leave the park pretty early this day because Nicks legs had really bad chafing and he could barely walk
